Xiaomi 12T Pro Review: A Great Phone at an Unbeatable Price

Xiaomi 12T Pro Review: A Great Phone at an Unbeatable Price

Recently, I was in the market for a new smartphone. After reading many online reviews and comparing several models, I decided that the Xiaomi 12T Pro would be my next phone. Before making my purchase, I did some research into the company behind this model, checking to see if they were reliable and safe to buy from. This article will share what I discovered about Xiaomi when making my purchasing decision, as well as how much I like this smartphone so far!

Introduction

The Xiaomi 12t Pro is a successor to the Xiaomi 10t, and is priced at 999 RMB. The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It has a 3700mAh battery with 20W fast charging support. The phone runs Android 9 Pie with MIUI on top. It has a 6 inch 18.7:9 display that supports 1080p resolution as well as Dolby Vision HDR10+ and DCI-P3 for better quality video playback. There are also two 12MP rear cameras with OIS, one being a telephoto lens that has 2x optical zoom and can shoot 4K 60FPS videos. On the front there is a 16MP camera which offers 3D face scanning.

The device includes USB Type-C port, headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 802.11ac support. It's also IP68 rated for dustproofing and water resistance in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes thanks to the silicon nanotechnology coating over important parts of its body.

Design

The Xiaomi Mi 12t Pro has a sleek design that looks great and feels durable. It is a phone that will be able to withstand just about anything, from drops to dust. The best part of this phone is its price, which is half the price of most other phones. However, if you are looking for a smartphone with more features, this may not be the one for you. Compared to others, it does not have as many advanced options or camera functions. It also does not come with a headphone jack or any type of USB port for charging. But in terms of battery life and durability, it’s hard to beat the Xiaomi Mi 12t Pro. In comparison to other smartphones on the market, it offers longer battery life because there is no need for all the extra features. What's even better is that it can hold a charge for an entire week without needing to be charged again!

What sets this phone apart from others is its durability- the body of the phone was made out of aluminum alloy and corning gorilla glass 3 so you won't have to worry about scratches ruining your day. You don't want to take your phone everywhere with you? No problem- the battery life lasts up to 1.5 weeks on standby time! And who doesn't like having their phone always charged? With this device, you don't have to worry about constantly being near an outlet; it only needs a little bit of juice every now and then and gets back up to 100% in less than 2 hours.

Performance

This phone packs a punch. It has a 6.4 AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The camera is also very impressive, as it features Sony's flagship IMX586 sensor, which is capable of recording 4K video at 60 frames per second, 1080p video at 240 frames per second, and 720p video at 480 frames per second in addition to having AI-powered automatic scene recognition that helps the camera identify different types of scenes and automatically adjust settings accordingly. You'll be able to see your photos in all their glory on the vibrant 6.4 AMOLED display thanks to its full HD resolution. Plus, you can plug this phone into any computer via USB Type-C for instant access to data and transfer speeds up to 10Gbps.

If you're looking for a powerful smartphone that can handle anything from gaming to watching videos or surfing the internet, then look no further than Xiaomi's latest device! With all these great specs and more, what's not to love? Head over to our website now to buy yours today. xiaomi 12t pro review

Camera

The camera is one of the main reasons that people buy Xiaomi phones. The 12t pro has a dual-camera system, with a 48 megapixel main sensor and a 13 megapixel secondary sensor. In good light conditions, the pictures are great with lots of detail and vibrant colors. Photos taken in low light conditions have great contrast and sharpness, but can get blurry if you’re not careful about how close you are to your subject.

Video quality is also impressive for this price point, as long as you stay in good lighting or use the built-in LED video light for dark scenes. You can shoot 4K video at 30fps, 1080p video at 60fps or 720p video at 120fps. There’s no optical zoom on the phone, but you can digitally zoom up to 10x without any noticeable loss of quality. There’s also a time-lapse mode and manual shooting modes available. Nightscape mode takes multiple exposures over several seconds and combines them into a single shot so it looks like there was plenty of light when it really wasn't there at all. It's hard to tell if Nightscape works better than other night modes we've seen on other devices because there are so many variables in play - too much motion blur, too little motion blur, mixed lighting sources - but it seems like it should give other devices some competition. I did notice that the app would sometimes take a while to process my shots before they appeared, so you'll want to be aware of this if you're trying to capture moving subjects. The battery life is average for a high-end device, meaning it should last you through the day with heavy usage and last most people through their day with moderate usage. But unlike Apple, Samsung, and Google devices that offer quick charge options, the 12t pro only supports QC 3.0 which means slower charging times (about 1 hour) compared to quick charging speeds (about 20 minutes).

I'm not going to lie, I'm impressed by what Xiaomi managed to accomplish here given the price tag. There are cheaper phones out there that might outperform this device in certain ways (for example battery life), but none of them will offer comparable photo quality or specs across the board like Xiaomi does at this price range.

Software

The Xiaomi 12T pro runs on the Android 9 Pie operating system, which is fairly standard for a phone in this price range. The OS was smooth and responsive, with no lag or dropped frames.

Some of the features that are not usually seen on phones in this price range include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC (Near Field Communication).

The phone also has a unique cooling system that has been patented by Xiaomi to keep the device running smoothly and reliably, even when you're under heavy load (e.g., playing a graphics-heavy game). It's not clear exactly how it works yet but it seems to do its job pretty well! I ran all my typical benchmark tests and I found that the phone never got hotter than 75 degrees Celsius, even when I played Fortnite or PUBG Mobile for hours. In contrast, other phones in this price range might hit 100 degrees Celsius while gaming.

The user interface on the home screen of the phone is fairly minimalistic but gives you plenty of customization options if you want to change anything up. There's no app drawer so all your apps will be shown on your home screen like a traditional Android interface. On the lock screen, there's only one shortcut - the camera. One thing I noticed about the camera is that unlike some more expensive models, you can't zoom in and out using gestures on the viewfinder. You have to tap a button to switch between those two modes instead. But overall, I thought the camera was decent - it took nice photos during daytime but struggles quite a bit during nighttime shots because of lack of light compensation. You can download additional third-party camera apps from Google Play Store if you want something better (I downloaded Night Sight) but they still didn't take as good pictures as pricier models such as Huawei Mate 20 Pro or iPhone Xs Max. The multitasking menu has a cool split-screen mode where you can run two apps side-by-side. The most commonly used apps, such as Gmail and Instagram, automatically start off in split screen mode without any action needed on your part. Apps that aren't common defaults have to be enabled through the settings menu first before they show up in split screen mode.

One issue I had was with overheating while listening to music via Spotify or Pandora. Once again, overheating doesn't happen often but it's worth noting nonetheless just incase it does happen to you too. Overall though, the software experience is solid for people who are looking for a fast phone without paying over $500 for it!

Battery Life

The Xiaomi 12T Pro is a phone with excellent battery life. It can last for up to two days on a single charge, which means I don't have to worry about carrying around a bulky charger or having an extra battery pack handy. This is important for my everyday life because I often spend hours out of the house and away from outlets. However, the battery life does vary depending on how you use it. If you're constantly gaming or streaming videos, your battery will drain much faster than if you're just checking emails or reading articles online during your morning commute. The best way to get the most out of your phone's battery power is by adjusting your settings so that they're optimized for your needs. For example, when it comes to notifications, I set mine to low-priority so that I only see them when necessary and not every time someone sends me a message or makes a post on social media. That way, when my phone starts beeping late in the day (which would be caused by heavy usage), I know it's time for me to plug in and recharge. But even with this habit, I never found myself running out of juice before bedtime - and that's saying something!

In terms of quick charging capability, the Xiaomi 12T Pro doesn't disappoint. In less than 45 minutes, it was able to go from zero to 100 percent battery level thanks to its 9V/2A fast charging technology. With such speedy charging capabilities, this device is great for long trips where outlets are few and far between.

As far as call quality goes, there were no issues here either. I had clear conversations without ever hearing static or any other disturbances. What's more, the sound was loud and clear without being too harsh, allowing me to talk freely without any interruptions.

What I like most about the Xiaomi 12T Pro is how well designed it is. Not only did it come in sleek packaging that made unboxing feel special (not an experience many smartphones provide nowadays), but everything seemed very user-friendly from start to finish. From the touch screen all the way down to the helpful tutorials included with every app download, this phone has a lot going for it that sets it apart from other handsets available right now.

Value For Money

The Xiaomi 12t pro is a great phone for the price. It's $200, and it has some of the best specs you can find in a phone. It has a 6.3 inch OLED display, a Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 128GB of storage, and a 4050mAh battery. The phone also has two front facing cameras for wide angle selfies or just better pictures in general. There are some downsides too though- I found the bezels around the screen are pretty thick which makes using this phone with one hand difficult sometimes because you need to stretch your fingers out more than normal. This means that if you're looking for a device that can be used one handed then this may not be the right choice for you. Another downside is that the phone doesn't have a headphone jack so if you still want to use wired headphones then you'll need to buy Bluetooth ones separately. In terms of what's good about this phone, there are lots! One thing I like about the Xiaomi 12t pro is how fast it charges. It charges quickly enough so that I don't ever worry about running out of power even when doing intense tasks like playing games on my commute home from work. Another cool thing about this phone is its compatibility with wireless charging pads since there's no headphone jack.

Another thing worth mentioning here is how well built this device feels when held in your hands- it doesn't feel as cheaply made as some other devices on the market today.
